An RPTO is an organization that provides training for individuals seeking to become certified remote pilots for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones.
Training is essential to ensure the necessary knowledge for safe, legal and responsible operation of drones. These certifications demonstrate pilots’ proficiency in aeronautical concepts, airspace regulations, and flight operations.
Similar to the requirement for a driver's license to operate a vehicle, according to the Drone Rules 2021 in India, obtaining a Remote Pilot Certificate is mandatory for flying drones. Even if you possess drone-flying skills, this certification is a legal prerequisite.Non-compliance with these regulations can result in severe consequences, including fines and imprisonment in the event of an incident. It is crucial to adhere to these guidelines to ensure responsible and lawful drone operation.
An individual shall be eligible to obtain a remote pilot certificate, if he/she––
(a) is not less than eighteen years of age and not more than sixty-five years of age;
(b) has passed class tenth examination or its equivalent from a recognised Board; and
(c) has successfully completed such training as may be specified by the Director General, from any authorised remote pilot training organisation.

The duration of training programs can vary, but it typically ranges from 5-7 days depending on the specific course.
Remote pilot training includes both theoretical classroom instructions, simulator training and practical flight training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of UAS operations.
TaraMitra Drone Academy is a DGCA authorized RPTO therefore, the training is in compliance with the guidelines laid by the DGCA.
Successful completion and positive results of the various skills tests involved in the course of the training program should lead to a certification, indicating that the candidate has met the required standards set by the DGCA for a specific Category, Sub – category and UAS Class.

Ground Classes (Theory classes) will be conducted online and Flying Classes will be conducted at the Flying Site which is in Satara District, Maharashtra, exact location of which will be shared upon successful registration.

Fees can be paid 100% or in installments. However, 100% fees / balance need to be paid before the commencement of the course.
